Steve will explain in simple terms the recent changes to the NRS for estate planning. Notably, SB 407 was introduced by the State Bar Probate and Trust Law Section. It instituted some new solutions to problems and clarified sections that were getting different interpretations in different courts. Steve will also review AB 414 which was not supported by the Bar Association. It is important for members of the Estate Planning Council to be aware that AB 414 became effective on January 1, 2024 and introduced significant changes to Advance Healthcare Directives.
